Atari Trashbag update

Small update on the trashed #Atari 2600
The motherboard traces are repaired and seem to be working if not pretty.
Still not a functioning system. Clues are pointing towards the cartridge slot. Pic is the top side under the slot. I think I need to remove it.

Found a small bridge that I’ve cleared. Progress!
Now all games are corrupted but there’s a display. Still think it’s likely the slot. Have bathed it in contact cleaner without much luck

IT’S ALIVE!

Turned out to be the cpu socket was the problem.
Cleaned and it works!

A reminder of what this board looked like when I first opened it. That’s the motherboard connector. Or it was.
